The Paring: one charge, one purpose.

What is charged, what is free, where it goes, worked to the unit.

Tallystick charges exactly one fee: the 2% Paring on each trade, a buy charged the same as a sale.

What is free

Where the Paring goes

Nowhere except the queue. The gathered Paring can go toward one thing: buying TALL from the market so a Tallage can retire it, oldest Notch first. Withdrawing it, sending it elsewhere, or counting it as revenue: all impossible, for any account.

Worked example

Trade size → Paring → the Notch’s open amount
Trade size (TALL)Paring (2%)Notch opens with (TALL)
1,0002020
10,000200200
250,0005,0005,000

The Paring cannot be raised, lowered, or switched off — it was written without a setter. There is no fee schedule to watch, because nothing in it can change.
