Tallystick
Docs 01

Tallystick, in three sentences.

The promise first, then the map of everything else there is to read.

Tallystick, an Ethereum token: its 900,000 TALL were all in the market from launch, and none will ever be created. Each trade leaves a 2% Paring and cuts a Notch — an obligation on the record, carrying that trade’s size and block — onto the Scoreline, an append-only queue. Anyone may call a Tallage, which spends the gathered Paring retiring TALL from the market, marking the queue in opening order, so supply does nothing but shrink.

These pages explain the mechanism in the sequence a holder meets it. Each page carries one idea, says what the mechanism cannot do as plainly as what it can, and uses the same names everywhere: the Paring, a Notch, the Scoreline, a Tallage, Char.

The whitepaper sets all of them down; the Protocol Note, page ten of this handbook, is its abstract. The console reads the live queue once trading opens.
